Thank you so much for your interest in participating in the Ambassadors' Academy. We are blessed by your desire to reach a lost world with the gospel and doing so by joining the Ambassadors' Alliance. We count it a distinct privilege that you would choose Living Waters to assist you in your growth as an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Academy will be three days of intensive and fast-paced training and street evangelism under the teaching and leadership of Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Emeal (E.Z.) Zwayne, Mark Spence, and other members of the Living Waters team. Participants will also receive personalized mentoring from some of the most experienced evangelists and open-air preachers in southern California. Possible locations include: Huntington Beach, Venice Beach, Hollywood Blvd, Long Beach, Burbank, and others. Here's a snapshot of the Academy Schedule:

And here's the classroom training you will receive:
Session 1 – "Evangelism and the Two Greatest Commandments" with Emeal ("E.Z.") Zwayne (Executive Vice President of Living Waters)
We will learn that as ambassadors for Christ it is crucial that we represent Him to the lost with the right heart, the right attitude, and the right mind set. We will talk about the necessity of being fueled by a passion for God's glory, genuine care for the unsaved, and an unwavering trust in our Savior as the author of salvation. It will be our aim to discover how to fulfill the great commission, while fulfilling the greatest commandment. We will come to understand that when we sincerely walk in fervent love towards God and people, the Lord will grant us wisdom, humility, boldness, and authenticity, as we proclaim His glorious gospel.
Session 2 – "Open-Air; A Practical Guide" with Stuart Scott (Living Waters staff member and open-air preacher)
Open-air preaching is as ancient as preaching itself. From Noah, a preacher of righteousness, to John the Baptist, to the Lord Jesus Christ, God has communicated His message through the spoken word in the open-air. It is my aim in this session to give you practical guidelines on open-air preaching that will equip you, the ambassador, to effectively, powerfully and passionately share your faith in the public forum.
Session 3 – "An Hour with Kirk Cameron"
Kirk has proclaimed the Law and the Gospel all over the world—on and off the set, in front of and behind the camera, and on the streets. Kirk will draw from his years of evangelism experience and provide helpful instruction regarding biblical evangelism and answer your questions.
Session 4 – "Street Video – Guerilla-Style" with Duane Barnhart (Producer of The Way of the Master Television program)
This is an introductory session, the aim of which is to teach you basic audio and video production. You will learn lighting, framing and sound techniques to help acquire video footage that you can use to critique yourself at home, use to evangelize on the Internet, or use to serve as an encouragement to your small group or church congregation. Emphasis will be placed on recording "on location" in an outdoor environment.
Session 5 -- "Hello, Officer" with Tony "The Lawman" Miano (Director of the Ambassadors' Alliance)
The time will come when it will be against the law to preach the gospel in the public square. But, for now, Christians still have the freedom to preach the gospel in the open-air and to distribute gospel tracts. So, what do you do if you are contacted by the police or private security while sharing the gospel? During this session, Tony will draw from twenty years of law enforcement experience and provide you with practical advice for handling contact with law enforcement in a safe and biblical manner.
Session 6 – "Initiating and Transitioning Conversations" with Mark Spence (Dean of the School of Biblical Evangelism)
Join me on a journey to discover the ins and outs of initiating evangelistic conversations and then transitioning them from the natural to the spiritual. You will learn time-tested creative ways to reach the lost. This session will be packed with hands on application, role play, and one liners. You'll never be at a loss when approaching strangers again. Finally, learn how to reach out to those neighbors you've lived next door to for many years.
Session 7 – "An Hour with Ray Comfort"
Decades of evangelism and ministry experience. Countless hours of open-air preaching and one-to-one evangelism. More than 60 books to his name. Ray will impart his wisdom and vast experience, while providing practical, biblical evangelism instruction, and answering your questions.
Each Ambassadors' Academy will be limited to fifty students. The reason for the limited size is so that the leadership of Living Waters can provide as much personal mentoring as possible to each person.
If you are selected to participate in the Ambassadors' Academy, you will be responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from southern California, as well as between the airport and the hotel (if applicable). You will also be responsible for your lunch and dinner on Days 2 and 3. All other expenses associated with the Ambassadors' Academy are included in the Academy tuition.
The cost to participate in the Ambassadors' Academy is $600.00 US.
Cost includes three days and four nights at the beautiful Sheraton Cerritos Hotel (Wednesday evening thru Sunday morning), transportation to and from all street evangelism locations, all meals (except those mentioned above), and all training seminars and class materials. Each student will also receive a special gift from Ray Comfort (available exclusively to Ambassadors' Academy students),as well as gifts and resources from Living Waters.
When making flight arrangements, participants should note that they will be required to check into the hotel on Wednesday evening, and check out on Sunday morning.
